About Us

Steele and I met at Penn State in Dr. Edwards' medieval literature seminar. After several months of ineffective flirting on my part, a chance meeting at Howard's defense celebration finally broke the ice. This time the flirting worked (eternal thanks to Howard for helpfully pointing out to Steele that it was happening). Fast forward: MST3K and Dr. Who, a trip to Munich, my MA, his comps, our dog Tessa, a mortgage, another mortgage, home improvements, the night shift in the library and 53 Burrowes, the Cleveland zoo, the Columbia zoo, the Bellefonte Wok, La Bella, wing nite, two Thanksgivings in Little Red House, a beach trip, a round of MLA job interviews, countless backrubs, and finally a ride in a hot air balloon, and on October 11, 2006 we made it official...we're going to get married!
